How to Maintain Your Car After a Detail

If you just got your car detailed, you probably want to keep it shiny for as long as possible. Here’s how to keep your car clean and maintain it after you get it detailed.

We also offer maintenance plans for vehicles detailed within the past 2 months.

Wash the paint & wheels

What to do

How often

Every 2-3 weeks

Vacuum & wipe interior

Every 2-3 weeks

Clean seats & steering wheel

Monthly

Reapply wax, sealant, or coating

Every 2-4 months

Avoid drive-thru car washes (even the touchless ones)

Drive-thru car washes leave swirls and scratches in the paint due to the brushes holding dirt from previous cars.

Even touchless car washes can harm your paint due to using harsh chemicals to compensate for the lack of physical agitation.

Clean off bird droppings ASAP

Bird droppings are acidic and can damage the clear coat on your vehicle. After every detail, we provide a microfiber towel and a small spray bottle of Quick Detailer for this reason. Do not use a sponge or paper towels as they’re abrasive and can drag dirt along the surface.
